2-3 treatments are recommended initially 2 weeks apart and then every 6 months to 1 year for maintenance.
Preparation for your appointment
- Come with clean skin. If unable to do so, the area will be cleansed by the provider.
- If this is your first treatment, a health history and consent must be completed prior to your appointment.
- Avoid Tylenol/Advil and alcohol for 5 days prior to your appointment if possible.
- Avoid taking anticoagulants the morning before your appointment to lessen the possibility of bruising and bleeding. Medication can be resumed after your appointment.
Post care instructions
Results will be instant and improve over the course of 2 weeks while your skin cells repair and new skin is formed. Depending on the product used you will see a reduction in fine lines, shrunken pores and hydrated skin. Your skin may be red and tender after the treatment for up to 48 hours. Wear sunscreen and stay hydrated.
Avoid the following after your treatment:
- fragrances, retinol, alpha & beta hydroxy acids, Vitamin C and anything perceived as “active” skincare for 7-10 days
- avoid makeup and swimming for 24 hours
- avoid extended sun exposure and direct sun exposure for 7 days
- avoid exercise or strenuous activity for 24 hours
